Confused on how to pronounce the name KNIPEX?

Everyone loves the german pliers KNIPEX. The mini looking bolt cutters make cutting your TIG wire a breeze. You can even use the gap in the pliers to help bend your wire to get in those hard to reach areas, like when welding 180° elbows in a convection section.

But how do you say the name? Is it nee-pex? with a silent K or k-nee-pex with a hard K? Technically both are correct. One is the German pronunciation and the other is the English version.
